Joshua Finney

Joshua Finney joined the Law Office of Tamela T. Wallace in 2021 and focuses on family law and estate planning. Attorney Finney graduated summa cum laude from Elizabeth City State University in 2013, where he majored in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration. Immediately upon completing his undergraduate studies he returned to his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina and enrolled in law school, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2016. Over the course of his time in law school Attorney Finney participated in the Family Advocacy Clinic and interned with the Neighborhood Advocacy Center, where he aided parents facing allegations of abuse or neglect regain custody of their children. As a member of the legal profession, Attorney Finney’s main priority is to provide effective representation to his clients while also maintaining a direct line of communication when their case requires immediate attention. Attorney Finney serves clients in Mecklenburg and surrounding counties with family law and estate planning matters, including divorce, child custody, wills and trusts, powers of attorney and other related areas. Since being licensed to practice law, Attorney Finney has acquired a wealth of legal knowledge which he applies to his client’s individual and unique situation with the objective of achieving a favorable outcome. Outside of the office and courtroom, Attorney Finney enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, taking their dog, Aladdin, for long walks, and playing basketball.
